Building a body of work.

I’ve had several opportunities to show my work at various venues over the years of shooting wet-plate.  I rarely participate due to not having a large body of work to present.  One reason I love the process so much is that each image is truly a one-of-a-kind…and scanning, copying, printing, etc various copies of the image has not been something I have been a big fan of.  Why have a one-of-a-kind image with many copies flying around?

Well, I have decided to change how I do things when it comes to creating my work and having it be available for purchase in various formats.  Private work for clients will be handled similar to how I’ve done it in the past…they have the original, but originals will be scanned and available for printing for their use only.  Personal project work will be created and copied so that I may offer a limited number of prints in various sizes for those interested.  Original plates will be made available for sale as well.

Now, I have to get to work on a body of work.  I have several projects in mind…some small, some much larger and seem to be continuing to grow in complexities.  My goal is to share more of my work in the coming year.  Hopefully folks will be glad I did.
