Workshop Info

Workshops are booked as needed.  If you would like to see about scheduling a workshop, please email me here to get on the calendar.

The full workshop is $650 and includes the use of all cameras, chemicals and equipment. Also includes an instruction manual with chemical formulas, instructions, troubleshooting, etc.

We will be shooting lots of plates of all sizes up to 5x7 using cameras from little brownies to modern 5x7 cameras.  On Saturday morning we start with basic safety, equipment needs, mixing chemicals, etc...afterwards we will finish that up, practice pouring plates, shoot and troubleshoot throughout the day under various lighting scenarios (indoors and out as well as natural and artificial). Finish up the day varnishing plates.

Same for Sunday...more shooting and troubleshooting using various ages of chemicals (so you can see how younger/older chemicals react).  Most folks leave ready to shoot with minimal support afterwards, but I am always here to offer support.

I require a retainer to hold the spot (1/2 of cost)  and the remaining 1/2 the Monday before the workshop.  If you wish to pay the full tuition up front, you may do that as well.

Once booked, the fees are nonrefundable.  A change of date can be arranged if needed.

Workshop hours are 9-6 on Saturday and 9-3 on Sunday.

Exact workshop location (Pine Level, NC area) will be discussed via email.   If you have any specific questions, please feel free to email me through here,

I am located approximately 45 minutes from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (I can pick up and drop off if needed).  Nearby lodging is available.

I am also available to travel to you.  Have a studio/location that you need to get setup for shooting wetplate?  Have family obligations that will not allow you to travel?  Let me know and we can set something up.  I typically only add actual expenses to the class cost.  I bring it all to you...equipment/chems/etc.
